Lori Richardson is a therapist and a licensed clinical social worker. She specializes in the neuroscience of rewiring brain pathways and reprogramming for new thought, feelings, and behaviors. Devoted to international volunteerism, she has worked and lived in orphanages abroad and also in local group homes. She has lived in Africa, Peru, Mexico, and most recently Guatemala. While immersed in foreign cultures, Lori shared songs, stories, and similarities with children who—even without families—radiated in spirit. They lit the first flame in her soul to become a social worker, therapist, and foster and adoptive parent.

After completing her master of social work from the University of Central Florida, she trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, which has transformed her clinical experience with healing.

Lori lives and thrives very happily in Asheville, North Carolina, raising her son and working with students and adults. Her vision is to continue the creation of Asheville Brain Spa, a mental retreat that teaches bilateral stimulation, energy psychology, and relaxation techniques that are mentioned in this book. Lori writes a weekly blog on healing modalities and invites readers to rate and to review strategies worldwide.
